Video interpretation cos I'm bored

Cool song i found playing on someone's webpage
it reminds me of my obsession with gothic themes recently. I like the fact that shes dressed up like a doll in a haunted house setting. Pretty spooky, it goes well with the music and lyrics that i cant understand lol.
I was kinda disappointed with the way it ended though. I thought there would be more buildup to the plot, the old guy being a potential for rescue. Instead he just stood there and stared at the peephole like a perv.
The way i imagined it up to the part where she played the cello. Ok, shes trapped there for goodness knows how long in a spooky attic. The way shes dress kinda reminds me a little of victorian style doll, the porcelain kind. An abandoned little doll in an attic. No longer loved, without the power to pursue her own kind of happiness. Her dreams are to be human so she can play the cello and play her own music, like the girl who once owned her did. Proof? The scene where she reaches out to the elaborate dress on the wall, but cant reach because the chains are pulling her back. The chains are symbol of the reality in life that she must face, being trapped as a doll, yet having human aspirations.
This is the part of the video which I'd like to change. The guy walks along the corridor of the house he is leasing out. He decided to investigate for himself the claims that it was haunted. He walks and pauses to admire the paintings on the wall.(Not the way he does in the video but in a more...platonic way.Like oh,pretty girl.Reminds me of my granddaughter)He moves on but stops as he hears chains. He looks around wildly for the source of the noise...but thinks he imagines it when he cant find anything that would hav caused it. His imagination must be running wild, its a pretty old house with outdated lighting anyway. Then, to his surprise, he hears music! He looks again for the source, and this time, he finds that its coming from the portrait on the wall...His imagination runs wild again, but he calms himself with cool rationality. It could be theres another room behind the wall which he didnt know bout previously. So carefully he pulls down the portrait and finds the hole which was responsible for weakening the sound barrier between the room and the corridor and peeks in to prove his theory and rationalise his fear. He sees a girl in chains playing beautifully haunting music on a cello. Omg he thinks. She being kept prisoner in this house for gawd knows what purpose. He looks around and notices a life-sized portrait the size of a door. He pulls it off this time with a little more urgency and finds its an opening. He makes his way into the room by the time the music stops but finds no one there. Lightning flashes illuminating a lone cello in the corner of the room, but no girl. Bewildered, he looks around, but the only girl he finds in the room is a little doll, abandoned long ago when the house was still a home...
The next day he gives it to his granddaugther, after reasoning that he imagined things.(people can make up the most convincing lies in order to console themselves...)He did however tell her about the story of the abandoned doll and the mysterious music. But as long as she lived, the granddaughter never heard such music from the doll or her cello...

Nightwalking

Walking around Fremantle one night with my friend Bronwyn we spotted a couple of cute things
There was this cute cat in this furniture display store tht i thought was cute. I wondered why my friend started laughing so i looked closer and saw tht it was breathing!
There were a couple of puppies there as well, doing the same thing.

They looked very serene
Also, there was an abandoned bunny puppet on our walk home. We didnt pick it up though. It was a curious thing to see something domestic in the middle of a park at night. Makes u thing about how small things fit into the scheme of a bigger story, like how it got there. A source of intrigue if you will. It made me think of Alice in Wonderland, how she came across a world besides her own because something unexpected crossed her path. Follow the White Rabbit...

Large photoshop art

something photomanipulation art i dedicated to afriend on their bday. i used some stocks on deviant art to create it.

there were supposed to be stars in the background, but because they were so tiny they came out fuzzy when saved as jpeg. drats. 2 layers wasted.

was thinking of doing another after talking to another friend. I was thinking of showing a person trapped in a bottle hung by a string from somewhere off the boundaries of the 'frame'. in the backdrop there will be stars (real one or Christmas style lightbulbs) hung in similar fashion on what is obviously a fake backdrop over a sky and to have a real sea below, preferably misty.
oh and a boat sailing below, to show that u are not where u are supposed to be. or to show u are misplaced etc
i wont tell what comment they passed to inspire me in this way cos this is not a blog about other ppls feelings its about mine ^.-

also another one where a mirror image reaches out and pulls a mask off the subject's face.-the idea behind this one is that even a projected image can have an impact on its subject. (notice i used the term subject and not object.therefore, blurring the boundaries of perception, muahahahaha)
it can also mean that inwardly, u dont agree with what u are showing to other ppl.
another play on subjectivity. it'll make u wonder which one of the is the real person and which one is just an image.
i was looking through stocks and 2 really stood out to me and i wanted to do something with them, and thats how this idea came about.

another idea i want to put out visually is how ppl move away from their past.
like a group of people weaving past a group of children and having an adult correspond to a child. Having a variety of ppl can show how diff ppl change, for better or worse. The kids can be headed in a certain direction to do something while the adults can be sort of meandering away from them.(like they are not sure of where to go)
maybe one of the kids can have a kite while the others are chasing behind while the adults are more individuals, not acknowledging each others presence.

Stuff to do once i get back to Perth

http://puppetdemon.deviantart.com/art/Ratty-Dim-Sum-Chinese-NY-sp-76642896

http://jmonzani.deviantart.com/art/Speaking-of-art-74055756

1)download maps into phone
precaution for field trips and also printing places

2)install some programs into computer
and while you are at that, get some more blank discs and a waterproof marker.
i am not going to keep storing my projects in my pc anymore once semester is over
and also familiarise myself with autocad 3d all over again *sigh*

3)re-register for gym membership

4)re-enrol for special conditions for the parking permit

5)register for classes olcr(a long way off)
also buy the books and READ THROUGH COURSE GUIDE well in advance

6)clean up room and study room
and think something up because the noise pollution is horrible
maybe i should just stay at uni no matter what mom says about curfew

STUFF to remember this semester
-pay particular attention to history essays, they tend to sneak up on you and the waiting list for particular books are long

-best time to catch up on reading is evidently straight after studio, it may just help to you to understand what the heck they are prattling on about.

-this semester dont try to force your mind,
instead try doing something else if inspiration isnt coming
otherwise you'll only frustrate yourself

-stay calm

-write everything that comes to you down, so you wont forget what to say in studio.it happens more than u'd like to think it would

-for tech assignments collaborate with friends alot, it is usually encouraging when everyone is working on it the same time

-for tech classes always make sure you have your recorder. especially if your teacher has an accent.

STUFF to work on after semester is over, you know u tend to lose direction
1)take up an accounting class
2)work on your cooking
3)read as much as you want and dont hold back
4)fitness is important
5)so is sleep. try to get your body to rest b4 11pm or ur liver will not filter the junk out.
and also its affecting your creativity.
try to convince yourself u arent missing much just by staying awake.
it'd only cost u brains cells

A question about monkies

Not really.
The question is from 'Memoirs of a Boy Soldier'

---SPOILERS---

My mom brought it up a while back so I just remembered
The question starts off like this
You were hunting one day in the jungle, and you spotted a monkey. You aimed your gun at it. At that moment it said "If you shoot me, your mother would die. If you dont, your father would."
What would you do in this situation?
the author said that in the village where he was born, the chief would gather the children and in front of their parents present this question to them.
When he had to leave the country as a refugee he thought back to this question.
He concluded after living through the war as both a victim and a perpetrator that he would shoot the monkey.
He loved his mother, but he realised that if he were to make an impossible choice, he would spare another person of making the same decision.
I guess what his village's chief was trying to see which one of them would think beyond their own situation and consider someone else.
Even people who are feeling hopelessness in their lives can influence or make a difference to someone else's suffering, or prevent it altogether.
When i first heard this i thought that since a sacrifice was inevitable, he made a choice to make your his own suffering meaningful.
As someone who had lost everything the author took up fighting because it was required of him, and he needed to avenged his family. He was sick of being a victim. He fought who he thought was the enemy at that time, and the was just 14. He was also being fed drugs to increase his fighting abilities and to cause his indifference to the situation. I guess in the end, you cant really judge him. How can you judge a person for being trapped in their circumstances? I guess thats something else to reflect upon when you'd be confronted with that question.

I put up a bunch of links for some stocks i'm going to use to create a picture

stuff for the current project (for fun)
girl falling pictures
http://dead-stock.deviantart.com/art/Stock-Photo-Diss-04-1905670
(she has lots of other dynamic poses)

http://blacksockstock.deviantart.com/art/stock-437-falling-49647556
(hmmm, i like this one better, she looks like shes falling gracefully)

hourglass
http://darkladystock.deviantart.com/art/Hourglass-stock-51310729
(looks kinda conventional, but it is clean and i can photomanipulate the pillars later)

http://lindowyn-stock.deviantart.com/art/Hourglass-Obviously-54626735
(i like the perspective in this one, but its a little dirty, maybe i can use it to my advantage...i want a starry background)

idea is to create a sense of timelessness so the composition must be calm and still, not dynamic at all)

i would like to find some rustic columns next, although using people (and photopmanipulating them to look like statues) could be an option

i was also especially excited to find some Faye Wong Lyrics as well,
because it has been my mission for 3 years to find Wo Xiang Xing in either Youtube or limewire...
i did, sort of...
The song is called Angel o.0
shows that you cannot trust someone to get the name of the song right in their playlist
while i was in college, sometimes everybody's playlist would become viewable because we are using the same connection or something...
which enables us to play each others playlists:)
anyway, i have this song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkhyIdWnA44&feature=related

and the translation
http://www.lyricsmania.com/lyrics/faye_wong_lyrics_24010/other_lyrics_54599/wo_yuan_yi___im_willing_lyrics_561583.html
how sad, shes willing to go through lonliness if she can be with him in the end
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faye_Wong
it was also fun to read about her after that although i didnt finish the article
i found it funny she dated Nicholas Tse who twotimed against her(no thats not the funny part) and when her fanbase found out his popularity suffered
she doesnt seem to be a diva, which is nice
i'm glad she found a steady relationship in the end

forgot to mention that Philip baked us cake the previous week for the last studio we had together<3

and he was talking about cake and stuff and how the oven was too cool

as in temperature and not an excellent thing. I dont know why he bothered to explain it like that...it pretty much means the same thing like it didnt fulfill his expectations (of the most perfect cake ever(which it was ))

i'm not going to post up pics of my folio this time cos it was all hand drawn
