Entry for RM contest

“No greater love hath man than this, to lay down one’s own life for a friend”. This is the words that an angel of God said to Fenix at the approach of his death. Before he met Arianne, he had never expected to die in this way. Abandoned as a small kitten, he didn’t expect to even live this long. He had already lost 8 out of his 9 lives by the time his mother abandoned him. It was just his luck as he was a black cat. Things went from bad to worse when one day he was trying to catch some fish in an open drain and fell in. A couple of girls saw this and felt sorry for him but only one was brave enough to wade in and save him from a murky and completely disgusting death.
Since then Fenix’s life had turned around. For the first time, he had someone to love and protect him. Unfortunately, summer doesn’t last forever, and come winter one day she was gone. She was always sickly, and literally died of a broken heart when her boyfriend married her best friend. Poor Fenix was heartbroken, but as he looked at her lifeless body remembered something his mother told him. “Cats are lucky that they have 9 lives. You can ask a friend to spare you one if you ever run out,”and with that, she had left him to fend for himself.
Now normally, this little trick doesn’t work inter-species. Fortunately, God was watching and decided to reward Fenix’s great love for his owner by allowing it to work. However, since Fenix had made the decision to give up his own life, he was no longer bonded to his earthly form. Seeing that Arianne still needed constant attention, Fenix pleaded the angel to be her guardian. “This is not possible,” he explained, “as my Master has plans her, and also for you.” Neither Fenix nor Arianne would ever forget what came next. “From this day forwards Fenix, you shall be her guardian.”
Till today, Fenix still remains Arianne’s guardian, and with her condition improving, she has volunteered to help out in the childrens ward in the hospital. Her appearance as a neko never fails to amuse the kids. Strange…must be some weird side effect to having being saved by a cat. She occasionally tells them stories of Fenix, her little black cat, while a winged figure watches over her with the strangely familiar eyes of her pet.

My week (week 3)

>
some of the flowers which have recently sprung up in our garden

Tuesday-field trip to east Perth

the building is called Maron can you see the shape of the words informing the building's shape? The 'O' and 'N' are besides it
The architects name is Aston Raggart McDougal.
He once did this sculpture which was called a knot or something
and there was this building which was pretty much a a block with a knot shape cut to make out the interior space. The idea was to tie all the different narratives of Australian history which is not one straight narratives, but pieces of different stories and perspectives in one. Like Aboriginal stories and migrant experiences etc. He's an interesting theorist but his buildings...they're ugly.

Its more interesting on the outside. Meghan drove me and Chandini here with guidance from her phone's GPS.

Meghan and Rob
Chandini

Heath
So we left this place and decided to have lunch at this fish and chips shop after Meghan dropped Chandini off.

We walked in the rain in Broadway only to find it was closed. So we went to the uni's tav promising ourselves to leave at 2 for a lecture. Good thing it was recorded.

See this guy sitting closest to the stairs? He claimed to be doing a study for his PhD on beer. We suspected he may have just been a psycology student instead.

(His english was kinda bad. One of the questions was: Does it make your friends easier? Rob:*grins* hell yeah!

i think he meant to ask whether having a beer made people more easy going in general)

We got free beer out of it anyway. Heath laughed at my expression while trying it out. it was crap so Meghan called some friends to join us.

One of them had some morbid stories to tell about medical students. Something about them developing a really sick sense of humour once they start operating on dead bodies. Like this guy who just popped his head out of the window(his own, phew) and asking the gardener wheter he needed a hand. So he gave him one. (Not his own, he tossed it out into the garden)

Aparently one of the first thing your lab instructor asks your class

Teacha:So, anyone here wear contacts?

*half the girls in class raise hands*

Teacha: You might like to wear glasses next time cos if we just happen to let out too much Dolo-(something) gas near your eyes your contacts it would fuse with your eyeballs.

*casually moves on to the next topic leaving half the girls with mouths hanging open*

Another weird thing med students find pretty disturbing is after their first surgery on the dead bodies: wow i'm such a bastard. why do i feel hungry? (its really that same gas. for some weird reason it triggers your appetite)

Some of the stuff you hear about makes you wonder how you can trust doctors. In fact, how do doctors trust other doctors? Especially when they've been to the same uni.

Dr. House:*commenting on a dead body which has been donated for research which has a disease in it* So how do you purpose we cure it?

his lackey:what, death?

Dr. House:yes!muahahaha! XD

anyway i left there at 4. That night i decided to go to campus for some much needed privacy.

This is a classic blur moment. i left the headlights on the car so the battery went dead. Yesterday i called RAC to charge it. the lady didnt know her directions very well but at least the guy who helped out was nice

Brace yourselves another Gaian update

href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXVXi3MZ-2CC3wXC70U1q8soebfU7Wt1Ccxjh8roYRdjsK5XdGLUcl6qutjzVUV85zOF6RUZyuLCx_L8A5TcNGbcBm9QNy9UHL7tBEHj2YUITwd861fPx6gOQSmeIklAziuZKb3A/s1600-h/alice.png">

Look, pixel dolls^^

And not just any pixel dolls, they're Alice in Wonderland done in Gothic Lolita style.

I started joining a thread in Gaia and really enjoyed looking at all the Lolita fashions the dolls were sporting. It cost about 5000g for an unlimited one and 20 000g a limited one.

i wanted to see if i they could make me a custom one, and they told me it was like 200 000g o.0
This is Daisuke, a custom made doll who belongs to Candycane Scartissue

and Momoko who also belongs to her

But they were hosting a competition to design one and i thought that maybe i'd join. Not that i thought i'd win. They uploaded the bases which was awesome cos we can now design all the dolls we want even though they wont be interactive. They are actually virtual pets with come with their own assessories which you use to play and feed them ^^;

I prefer to think of them as dolls. Pets sounds a little...

Anyway i was going to order one, and i saw they werent taking orders anymore and i kinda went aaah! the stores are closed *sweatdropped*

But luckily the girl who made them was kind and she noticed that i was really enthusiastic about them and she offered to make a custom one for me for free o.0 She said that since I didnt complain and seemed genuinely interested she was happy to make one yay!

On another note, i paid my friend Sahkrit so she would make this for me:

People can set up little shops on Gaia to earn money by selling art and stuff

I'm the one with the cat^^

This one is my favourite:

Heh, she was supposed to do another one but she ran off with the money
Anyway thats me and someone i'm close to on Gaia.

Conspirative glances at each other
*EDIT*

yup heres the progess for the entry so far, most of the work done today June 24th She's bald cos i suck at hair...dont worry, i'll work on that

6.20 July 15 Fenix the black kitten is done!

*the next day*
She doesnt have a name yet cos i cant think of one, and i'm not too sure about the top.

Roses @->>-->--

Today me and my mom went with an aunt of mine to buy Roses for the garden.
The ride there was kinda enjoyable.
Not that it was peaceful or anything like that -.-
I doubt that a quiet ride is possible with (any) 2 women with the surname Kiew. There was kinda a lot of bickering but I guess it was more constructive than usual.
The reason being my mom actually listens to her older sister. Usually she is a paranoid person and that causes some strife around the house especially with dad. This is kinda personal so I wont go into much detail but anyway how would you like being accused of 'taking' things when you live in the same house?
Its great to finally hear someone else tell off my mom for these things. She wont listen to me cos she thinks I'm bias
there still one question i'm burning to ask my parents but I guess I should never mention it because I KNOW (without a doubt in my mind) that nothing good would ever come of it in the long term.
ok i'll stop there.

Anyway originally my mom was just hunting for orange roses (which are actually quite beautiful as the ones she already has is not a straight orange, it has shades of pink and yellow as well as peach where they blend together) for the front of the house. 2 days earlier she had the idea to bring me.
We did have a nice time and there was a really hyperactive lady over there called Barbera. Apparently her day job is at ECU university and she works at the nursery on weekends for fun and health. Plus she sleeps better on Saturdays because of this.
She gets along well with my aunt since they are both talkative. They started off with sea-sickness(?) Personally I've been sea-sick about twice but since i dont know what its like to fear the sea to that extent I wouldnt know what its like. Quote thats the only point in my life that I actually wanted to die unquote. And yea theres a trick if you are crossing the English Canal on a boat thats big enough. STAY IN THE POOL. The inertia of the water in the pool will even out the swaying of the boat?
Well anyway I was hunting for these elusive beauties

The first is Radiance, and the second is called a Pink Parfait. According to the research I did they have nice scents as well. Specifically I was looking for a Pink rose with lovely fragrance, good form with a high center. These 2 roses kept popping up in the books I've read (with good reviews) and it seems that Radiance is a pretty hardy plant as well. Didnt find them today. Arianne seemed to be a nice pink blend and it had huge blossoms as well. Its impressive to look at but I dont think it had a scent. Plus I prefer roses to look a bit delicate.

For that Barbera told us to come back in October, its the best time because its summer and most of the flowers would be open for display.

So now is the pruning season and the best time for planting is the end of this month which is July.

Barbera has the same obsession as me. We want to create our own hybrid. To register it would cost 5 000. yo thats a lot.

Coincidentally, the previous day I was germinating rose seeds with the intent of preparing the parents for the new rose. The parents themselves must be raised by seed, as there are certain viruses that cant be transmitted through the seed and only through cuttings. The seeds are germinated by exposing them to very cold temperature. Roses are strange in this way. Barbera and the books agree that in this climate we would have to germinate them in the fridge. The book says to keep it here for about 6 weeks. I got the seeds from a rose hip of a red rose growing in my aunt's garden. The hip is the fruit, but since roses can accept any pollen as long as its a species of rose each seed in itself is a fruit, and unless you pollenated the rose yourself in a controlled environment, its possible you you have a strange gene from the pollen of another rose that some random bee dropped in there, ready to exert itself in unexpected ways.

Well whatever I like surprises. I really just want to try this for the sake of seeing if I can make it work and also to create something personal, even if i'm not the first to try whatever combination.

I like red roses, but a certain deep colour is my favourite. Like the rose 'Papa Meiland' and 'Red Pixie', which my mom has. I wanna try and get that colour by combining a dark pink(or cerise) and a purple rose together. Theres a shrub rose in the garden thats called a 'Love Potion' and its purple. I bought it from Big W and was really surprised by the way the flower came out. Plus it smells like it could a an ingredient for a Channel perfume almost. If the flower manages to produce a hip i would like to use that, but there are rarely any insects in our garden to help it do so.

the 2 rose hips i did get was a red one and one that is cerise or dark pink. Not even my aunt knows what the second one is really. THat should make it interesting.

A rose which I find fascinating:

its a cross between an orange and purple rose. Depending on the intensity of the sunlight it can be this colour or almost copper. Sometimes purplish tints appear on the outer edges of the petals.

I guess i'll continue some other time. Time for bed.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ooa8nHKPZ5k&mode=related&search=

yesterday was fun
actually went shopping and i got 2 new dresses and white stockings to match
and one of my favourite authors has returned to fanfiction.net!
OMG when i saw it i felt like what, 3 years younger T.T
and for the longest time i have been uninspired and it felt like a breath of new life to start writing again.
ever had this moment in your life where you realise you're not as good as you thought you were and you wonder how the hell are you supposed to go on?
been there.
its like something one of our lecturers was saying during the first semester...
"...and this is what they built for the Architectural University in Rome. You know, I wonder what it was like for those students back then. You could just walk down the corridors and pass Bernini or Boromini and think, "Oh my God, what am I going to do?"" *laughter in the lecture hall and some groans*

*Bernini and Boromini are some examples of the architectural giants during the Enlightenment period T.T
How do we measure up indeed.
